Dr. Donnenfeld offers the most advanced technology for the correction of vision. He is a consultant and on the Advisory Board of the three major laser manufacturers (Visx, Alcon, and Bausch & Lomb), and has been instrumental in improving the technology to provide the best visual results to his patients. In addition to participating in the studies which led to the FDA approval of the excimer laser, Dr. Donnenfeld was an FDA investigator for the Verisyse phakic IOL, the Amadeus microkeratome, the Technis multifocal IOL, and is performing ongoing studies with the excimer laser to improve patient results. He often has access to new technology years prior to other surgeons. Dr. Donnenfeld performed the first Epi-LASIK with the Amadeus microkeratome in North America.
